Almond Roca Cookies

Ingredients: 

1/2 Cup White Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Flour
1 egg Yolk
1/2 tsp. salt

10 ounces chocolate chips
slivered almonds

Directions: 

Mix sugars, butter and egg yolk. Add flour and salt. Flatten in jelly roll pan 15 X 11 inches. Cover jelly roll pan with parchment prior to adding dough.

Bake 22 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Make sure that you do not over bake (dark edges). Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. As they melt, spread over crust. While still warm sprinkle with almonds. You may need to press the almonds so they adhere to the chocolate.
